Benedict Kloeckner
President & Founder

The internationally renowned cellist and professor Benedict Kloeckner founded the International Violoncello Society with the vision of providing sustainable support to exceptionally talented young cellists. Through his international concert career, pedagogical experience, and worldwide artistic network, he offers them long-term mentoring programs, international performance opportunities, and new pathways toward the highest level of artistic development.

Prof. Dr. Theo Enders
Vice President

Professor of Business and Employment Law and an internationally recognized expert in media law, intellectual property, and international business law. Through his teaching and lecturing activities at renowned universities in Europe and Asia, he brings extensive legal, academic, and international experience to the organization. As a passionate cellist and dedicated supporter of the arts, he combines professional expertise with a deep understanding of the musical world.

Günter Hilger
Founder & Treasurer

Co-founder of the International Violoncello Society and founder and partner of Hilger, Neumann & Partner. With decades of experience in finance, tax consulting, and corporate management, he oversees the Society’s financial development and long-term stability. His personal commitment was instrumental in securing the Werner & Marlene Schöder Foundation as a long-term supporting partner. This provides a sustainable foundation for scholarships and future artistic projects.
